19世紀後半、英国のヴィクトリア女王が最愛の夫アルバート公を亡くし、喪に服している間にジェットをつけていたことから、ヨーロッパで大流行！🤗

1850年ごろ、ゴールドラッシュにより金の供給量増！
ビクトリア時代、少ない金を線状にする必要はなくなり、ゴールドジュエリーは大流行しました！使われた技法を『レポゼ』といいます。レポゼとは金細工の一種で、レリーフ状に打ち出す鍛金技術のことです。それと同時に、高い技術を必要としたカンティーユ(線状細工)は姿を消していきました。
