Plique-a-jour Enamelling is one of the featuers for art nouveau.
This is a type of enamel which creates the translucent effect of a stained glass window. The technique suspends the enamel between wires without a backing allowing light to pass through.
This was made by Gautrait(1865-1937). Victoria and Albert Museum in London has the same broach.

This is all hand knitted.
I am so immplessed the time consumed for this and his/her persistency!

Art Deco (1910s-1930s) was based on rectilinear and geometric. On the other hand, the Art nouveau was based on curvilineal and the motifs of flowers and incsects were often used.
This ring is made by the René Lalique. Two bat women encompass the center garnet.

This work was made about 200 years ago. Rose cut diamonds are used for this work. The brilliant cut still had a long way to be used. Foils are set under the diamonds to show them even more beautiful.
